Today marks the first day for filming on the documentary. We will be filming b-roll segments of the Ruffatti organ in the Barrus Concert Hall. It is nice to actually get some physical mileage behind us. We will be using a 12ft camera crane to get high angle and sweeping shots of the pipes and console. We will also be filming the thousands of pipes behind the facade as well.
I was approached by Channel 8 News who wants to do a feature story on the documentary. They will be there tonight to get some news footage and interviews. The story will air on Sunday night. I couldn't have hoped for better publicity! This is awesome!
Tomorrow we will be recording all of the background music as well as the opening and ending sequence music on the Ruffatti. Everything is being recorded in 5.1 Digital Surround Sound.
Once we get the b-roll footage and the music recorded then I'll get a movie trailer made that I will post on the home page. I will also be posting pictures and some video of production here on the blog. Thanks for your interest and support of this project!
