We had a marathon this morning filming interviews for 6 people!! It was incredible and I learned a lot more about these instruments -both on a technical and personal level. Originally I had planned for the performances to be the real meat and potatoes of each segment, but the interviews and historical accounts will be equally as yummy. It was a pleasure to have Mark Anderson and Jeff Hansen, President and Vice President of Heritage Church Organ Company, as a last minute addition to the line up. Their input was invaluable and I am glad that we were able to work them into the film. Their company is responsible for getting all these wonderful instruments here and regularly perform maintenance on them as well. Again, it was great to have them. We also had exceptional interviews with Dr. Kerr, Rebecca Parkinson, and Molly Patrick. Dr. Wolford had a lot of unique personal stories that I'm sure you will find fascinating and heart-warming. Everyone added a unique perspective that enhances the educational and personal value of the film. We also got all the background music recorded for the film on the Ruffatti. Dr. Kerr and Cory Whittier did a remarkable job with the music and I have to say that you will be absolutely blown away with the opening title sequence and the credit roll!! I won't spoil the surprise, you'll just have to come watch the movie!! After we got done recording, I mentioned to Dr. Kerr that 5.1 Surround Sound is just not going to do justice compared to the real thing, but Troy is working on an impressive surround mix that will be sure to split your hairs!! It was a long day, but we got some good mileage behind us. All that's left to do now is film the performances and put it all together (that's the fun part!!). Keep checking the blog often for more updates!!
